Offering the very
best in the performing arts
for kids and teens.
Focusing on the creative process, artistic development, self-esteem,
and fun!
We offer an exciting and entertaining curriculum
for the child eager to perform. In addition to acting, music, physical
performance and dancing, we also focus on character creation, performance
interaction, theatre etiquette and professional deportment.
Two completely different four-week Sessions
exploring: Period character building & scene study; ensemble
teamwork; how improvisation works with Shakespeare; comedy movement;
stage combat choreography; interacting with large props, hand props,
and period costuming; the art of stage make-up, in addition to basic
voice training and Shakespearian technique.
We combine workshop classes like "Physical
Comedy" and "Scene Study of Comedy of Errors" to
create an outrageous comedy scene for performance, and "Fencing"
and "Scene Study of Romeo & Juliet" to create an action
packed performance with intense acting.
We are unique in our approach to performance
workshops, and our attention to professional level training. At
the same time we engage the students in a personal manner to inspire
their best achievement at whatever ability level they are at. Everyday
at Shakespeare Summer Camp will be fun, exciting, active, and inspirational.
As we are offering camps for a wide range
of children's ages, all workshops, whether they be acting, voice,
dance, movement, comedy or ensemble, will be age specific.
